"Like Tony Hawk." Is Erling Haaland recovering from injury by skateboarding?
Manchester City's forward Erling Haaland isn't wasting any time during his forced break from football. The Norwegian seems to have decided to take up skateboarding, sharing this with fans on his Instagram page.
Haaland posted pictures of himself in casual attire—shorts, a shirt, and a baseball cap—but most importantly, holding a skateboard. The footballer also captioned the photos with the phrase "Felt a bit like Tony Hawk," alluding to the famous skateboarder Tony Hawk, after whom a skateboarding sports simulation game for PlayStation was also named.
It's unknown whether Haaland actually skateboarded or just held it in his hands. However, it seems he has an interest in this sport.
Let's recall that the Norwegian forward sustained an injury in a recent match for Manchester City in the semi-final against Bournemouth in the FA Cup. It is noted that due to this, the player will be out for 5-7 weeks, thus missing the end of the season. It is reported that Haaland will only recover by the start of the Club World Cup.
