Lewandowski names ideal coach for Barcelona
Barcelona got a new coach in the summer, and instead of Xavi it was Hans-Dieter Flick. Now the Blaugrana players are entering a new reality, but some are familiar with the German specialist.
Among them is forward Robert Lewandowski, who worked with Flick at Bayern Munich, and here is how he reacted to being reunited with his former coach:
"I'm very happy and excited to work with Hansi again. I think we will have a great season and end it with a trophy in our hands."
He concluded by emphasising that they should not be conformists and should always strive for more as the club's philosophy demands. This is exactly what Flick demands from the players:
"We must not stop attacking after a 1-0 win, but continue to put on a show. Because that's the DNA of this club. And Hansi fits into that DNA very well with his attacking approach," Lewandowski told Bild.
Earlier, Flick himself revealed who is the benchmark for him when building the team at Barcelona.
