Yesterday, the Polish national team clawed their way to a dramatic 3-3 draw against Croatia in the UEFA Nations League, but it appears that their star forward, Robert Lewandowski of Barcelona, may have picked up an injury.
Details: In the final moments of the game, Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livaković committed a reckless foul on Lewandowski outside the penalty area, for which he was shown a straight red card.
After the match, Lewandowski assured fans that he was fine, but it seems there may be more to the story. Today, the Polish striker returned to Barcelona, and fans who saw him at the airport noticed that he was visibly limping as he got into his car.
According to Diario Sport, Lewandowski is set to undergo a medical examination today.
Reminder: Lewandowski is currently the top scorer in La Liga this season, with 9 goals in 10 matches.
On Sunday, October 20, Barcelona will face Sevilla at home.
