The announced retirement from international football by Polish legend Robert Lewandowski appears to have been short-lived, as the condition for the Barcelona striker’s return has already been met.
Details: The Polish Football Association has announced that the national team’s head coach, Michał Probierz, has resigned. Despite initially expressing confidence in his position with the national side after the defeat to Finland, Probierz ultimately decided it was best to step down in these circumstances. The federation’s executives accepted his resignation and wished him success in his future career.
Reminder: Prior to the match against Finland, Probierz made the decision to strip Lewandowski of the captain’s armband, handing it over to Inter’s Piotr Zieliński. In response, the Barcelona striker suspended his appearances for the national team as long as Probierz remained in charge.
