Lionel Messi helped Inter Miami secure a dazzling victory over Los Angeles and advance to the semifinals of the Champions Cup. The Argentine shared photos of the match on his Instagram page.
Leo posted images from the game, as well as a warm post-match photo with his sons, who ran onto the field to embrace their father and congratulate him on the victory.
It should be noted that the victory over Los Angeles was achieved on aggregate. In the first match, Inter's opponents won 1-0, but in the return fixture, Messi took charge, scoring 2 goals and providing an assist, securing a 3-1 scoreline that allowed Inter Miami to progress to the next stage.
It's worth adding that for the Florida team, this is a historic achievement, as they have never before reached the semifinals of the Champions Cup. At this stage, Inter will face another MLS club, the Vancouver Whitecaps.
Notably, despite injury and missing matches, Messi has played 9 matches for Inter Miami across all competitions this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 3 assists.
