Leo Messi and NFL star Patrick Mahomes star in new Adidas commercial
Lionel Messi and Kansas City Chiefs NFL player Patrick Mahomes have become the stars of Adidas' latest commercial. The ad was shared on the brand's official Instagram page.
The video shows Mahomes running on a treadmill at the gym alongside his neighbor. At one point, both start frantically pressing the speed button, each trying to outpace the other. Then, the camera pans to reveal Mahomes' workout partner—and it turns out to be Messi.
“When I push, you push, we push. Even legends need a workout buddy,” reads the caption under the video.
This is the core message of the commercial: through rivalry and competition, we always grow and get better. That’s why even the very best need someone to push them and keep them motivated during training.
It's worth noting that Patrick Mahomes has played for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2017, capturing three Super Bowl titles and earning Super Bowl MVP honors three times during that span.
Leo Messi has been with Inter Miami since 2023, winning the 2023 Leagues Cup and the 2024 Supporters’ Shield.
