This could mark the sensational return of Raúl to the managerial stage.

Details: According to Diario AS, 48-year-old former Real Castilla head coach Raúl is being seriously considered by the Real Sociedad board as the club’s next manager.

Reports suggest that alongside Raúl, Sociedad’s management is also in contact with Marco Rose, Thiago Motta, and Pellegrino Matarazzo. However, Raúl appears to be the most realistic candidate.

Raúl has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid Castilla this summer after his contract expired.

Raúl began his coaching career in 2018 and so far has only managed youth and reserve sides at Real Madrid.

Currently, Real Sociedad sit 15th in La Liga with 16 points to their name.

Reminder: Official: Real Sociedad have dismissed head coach Sergio Francisco
