A major managerial shake-up is brewing in Italian football.
Details: According to insider Fabrizio Romano, Atalanta is just one step away from appointing Maurizio Sarri as the club's new head coach.
Current Bergamaschi boss Raffaele Palladino is set to leave his position in the near future, while negotiations between the club's management and 67-year-old Sarri have already entered the final stage. At this point, both parties have nearly reached a verbal agreement on the key terms of the contract.
Reports indicate that only the final legal details remain for the deal to be completed — specifically, waiting for all formalities to be officially wrapped up and for Sarri’s previous contractual obligations with Rome-based Lazio to be fully terminated.
It’s worth noting that since June 2025, Sarri has been working with Lazio.
Reminder: For the first time in 30 years, Atalanta has changed its logo.
