Legendary American gymnast Simone Biles has won her seventh Olympic gold medal.
On August 3, the American gymnast claimed first place in the vault with a score of 15.300. The silver medal went to Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade (14.966), and fellow American Jade Carey (14.466) rounded out the top three.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, this marks Biles' third gold medal. She previously won gold in the team all-around and the individual all-around events.
It's worth noting that the record for the most Olympic gold medals in artistic gymnastics is held by Soviet gymnast Larisa Latynina, who has a total of nine gold medals, the highest among both men and women.
