Lazio have officially announced the name of their head coach
Croatian specialist Igor Tudor has officially become the new head coach of Lazio. The Rome-based club announced this on their X page, posting a photo of Tudor at Rome's airport.
According to leading insiders, Tudor has signed a contract with Lazio until June 2025, with an option for an additional year.
Tudor replaces Maurizio Sarri as the head coach of Lazio, with Sarri resigning after four consecutive defeats in all competitions.
In Lazio's first match after Sarri's departure, under the guidance of his assistant Giovanni Martusciello, they defeated Frosinone (3:2).
Tudor's most recent job was at Marseille, where he finished third in the previous Ligue 1 season but left the club in the summer due to disagreements with the management. In Italy, he has coached Verona and Udinese. Additionally, Tudor has experience working with Galatasaray, Karabukspor, PAOK, and Hajduk.
