The contract of Barcelona's star forward Robert Lewandowski is currently set to run until the summer of 2026, but it appears that an extension is on the horizon.
Details: Barcelona president Joan Laporta revealed the condition under which Lewandowski's contract will be automatically extended.
The Polish striker only needs to play in 50% of the matches this season for his contract to be extended until the summer of 2027. At the moment, he has participated in all of the team's games.
This means Lewandowski could continue playing for Barcelona until the age of 39.
Reminder: This season, Lewandowski is leading the La Liga goal-scoring charts. The 36-year-old forward has netted 10 goals in 9 matches.
