Laporta personally discussed Barcelona’s punishment with Ceferin

It was recently revealed that Barcelona could once again face sanctions from UEFA over breaches of financial fair play regulations. However, the Catalan club is putting forth maximum effort to avoid running into serious trouble again.
Details: According to Marca, Barcelona president Joan Laporta attended the Nations League final between Spain and Portugal yesterday, not just to watch the football.
Behind closed doors, Laporta met with UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin, aiming to ensure that Barcelona would receive the lightest possible punishment, fully aware that avoiding sanctions altogether was unlikely.
Reminder: In the 2023/2024 season, Barcelona already faced similar problems, but UEFA then opted for a €500,000 fine. This time, the punishment is expected to be harsher, with potential restrictions including a reduced squad registration or even a point deduction during the Champions League group stage.
