Manchester United will spend the upcoming season out of continental competitions, a factor that might have deterred potential signings from making the move to Old Trafford. However, some players remain determined.
Details: According to Sky Sports, Wolverhampton forward Matheus Cunha is still keen and would be thrilled to join Manchester United, as he believes they are still one of the biggest clubs in the world.
Manchester United are expected to trigger the £62.5 million release clause in his contract. The club is well aware of the terms required to activate this clause.
There have been no direct contacts between the clubs yet, but all formalities are set to be finalized after the end of the season. The deal is practically done.
Reminder: It was previously reported that Manchester United had earmarked funds for Cunha's transfer, as well as for Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap. Any further signings would require player sales.
