La Liga must pay Real Madrid nearly nine million. What’s the issue?
La Liga and several clubs have been embroiled in a legal battle over violations dating back to 2015, a dispute that has now reached Spain’s Supreme Court.
Details: According to Marca, the case concerns the unlawful distribution of television revenue during the 2015/16 season. It began in the National Court before eventually progressing to the Supreme Court.
The ruling states that La Liga must pay €8.8 million to Real Madrid. An additional €88 million will be allocated among 22 clubs that competed in Spain’s second division at the time.
We recently reported that the dispute between Vinícius and Xabi Alonso has been completely resolved. The winger is fully confident in Real Madrid’s project and in Alonso’s work.
Reminder: Trent Alexander-Arnold suffered an injury, and Real Madrid officially confirmed that the defender has a strain of the left rectus femoris. Details on his expected absence have been released.
