La Liga operates under financial fair play regulations, but now the league is considering introducing a special provision that would allow clubs to bypass these financial rules.

Details: According to Diario SPORT, La Liga may implement a "wild card." Under this rule, a club would be able to extend the contract of a single player regardless of financial fair play restrictions.

If this rule comes into effect, it could help Barcelona extend Robert Lewandowski’s contract for another year with a reduced salary.

We previously reported that German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen is allegedly the source leaking locker-room information to the media.

After yesterday’s Copa del Rey Round of 32 clash against Guadalajara, Barcelona head coach Hans-Dieter Flick, together with the club’s management, reportedly managed to identify the traitor.

Reminder: Barcelona is currently involved in legal proceedings related to the Negreira case and recently faced a real threat of being banned from the UEFA Champions League because of it.
