Mbappé reposted the news that Pogba is close to signing with Monaco, captioning it with the phrase “Pogback”—a clear nod to Pogba's long-awaited comeback on the pitch.

Recall that Pogba was sidelined from football after testing positive for doping—receiving an 18-month suspension. That ban ended back in March of this year, but until now, the Frenchman had yet to secure a contract with any club.
Now, it appears that he will join Monaco, signing a deal with the Monegasques through 2027. Notably, the 32-year-old midfielder last took the field for Juventus in the previous season, on September 3, 2023.
It's worth adding that Pogba and Mbappé played together for the French national team and were crowned world champions in 2018.
