In an interview with the newspaper Le Parisien, the president of the Cameroonian Football Federation heaped praise on Kylian Mbappé, who is putting in fine performances at the 2026 World Cup. For Samuel Eto’o, Mbappé embodies the competitive spirit. His high standards, his leadership and his constant quest for victory make him a global role model.
“Kylian is a competitor, a winner and a natural leader. He sets high standards for himself and is driven by a constant desire to improve and win. Through his performances, his charisma and the expectations he generates in every match, he is helping to raise the standard and appeal of this World Cup, just as he did at the previous two.
I am deeply impressed by the consistency of his performances over the past ten years. At just 27, he has already left his mark on several generations and carved out a place for himself amongst the greatest figures in the history of football.”
It is worth noting that Kylian Mbappé has scored 8 goals for the French national team at the World Cup currently taking place in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
