England defender Kyle Walker, 34, has decided to leave Manchester City and continue his career at Italian club Milan on loan.

The move to Italy marks a major milestone for Walker, who is hoping to not only rebuild his career but also strengthen his relationship with his wife after a rocky few months in their marriage. Before leaving, he thanked his family for their support in a touching message:

“I’m grateful to Annie, our children and my entire family for their support and for always being there for me along the way,” the footballer wrote.

A source close to Kyle and Annie’s family told the Mirror that the possibility of moving was an important step in their relationship, with the couple hoping the fresh start would be good for the whole family.

He said:

"This is a big decision for the whole family, and they are discussing it carefully to find the best solution for everyone, especially their sons who will always be their top priority. They are really excited about this opportunity and are looking forward to what the future holds for them."

The move will also help Walker distance himself from his past scandal surrounding his relationship with Lauryn Goodman, with whom he fathered two children. His marriage to Annie began to suffer after allegations of infidelity led to a temporary split and the threat of divorce.

The couple are now hoping that moving to Italy will give them a fresh start, strengthen their marriage and allow them to put the past behind them.
