Kudus, Partey miss out as Ghana Call Up Five New Stars for Unity Cup Showdown in London


Ghana head coach Otto Addo has revealed a youthful 23-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Unity Cup in London, with five fresh faces earning their first senior call-ups ahead of the double-header against Nigeria (May 28) and a second match on May 31.
New Talents Emerge
Among the standout inclusions is Abdul Aziz Issah, the 19-year-old winger currently on loan at Barça Atlètic from FC Nordsjaelland. Despite limited minutes in Spain’s third tier, his potential has earned him a maiden senior invite.
He is joined by:
- Joseph Anang (GK, St Patrick’s Athletic)
- Aaron Essel (DF, North Texas SC)
- Caleb Yirenkyi (MF, Nordsjaelland)

Ghana will be without several core players:
