Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala is on the verge of making his comeback after nearly six months on the sidelines. According to The Athletic, the 22-year-old attacking midfielder has recovered from a serious ankle injury and is set to be included in the squad for the upcoming Bundesliga clash against RB Leipzig.
Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany has confirmed that Musiala is just a step away from a full return. The manager stated that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, Musiala will make the squad list, and his physical and mental readiness is giving the team plenty of optimism.
To recap, Musiala suffered the injury in July 2025 during the FIFA Club World Cup quarterfinal against PSG. In one of the episodes, he collided with Paris goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma, resulting in a fracture and dislocation of his left ankle that sidelined him for an extended period.
