Khulumani Ndamane relishes Bafana Bafana chance to compete with rising Orlando Pirates star defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi

The TS Galaxy man says learning is a two way thing as he is teaching Mbokazi a thing or two

Khulumani Ndamane relishes the chance of learning his defensive ropes from USA-bound Orlando Pirates defender Mbekezeli Mbokazi.

Ndamane admitted that the learning, which takes place during the Bafana Bafana camps, is not one way as Mbokazi also takes notes from him. They are both in the 55-man provisional squad named yesterday by Hugo Broos for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament next month.

“I think there’s always competition in football and Mbokazi is doing very well,” Ndamane said. “From my side, there is a lot that I’m learning from him, and he’s also learning from me. We are helping each other somewhere, somehow.

“So whoever gets a chance, takes that chance, and for me, I just have to look at the things he does right, then everything will be okay.”

Ndamane is reported to be on the Mamelodi Sundowns wanted list as he is one of the special left-footed defenders in the Betway Premiership.

Ndamane’s TS Galaxy takes on Polokwane City on Saturday in a Betway Premiership match where they will be hoping to cement their top five spot in the PSL Standings. They are on the currently on the sixth spot.

The game will start 6pm at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
