Khulekani Shezi scores the winning goal for Golden Arrows against Orbit College as they push for a place in the Betway Premiership top eight

Khulekani Shezi scored the winning goal for Golden Arrows when they defeated Orbit College 2-1 at Olympia Park Stadium in a Betway Premiership match.

Striker Sede Dion scored the first strike as Ben Motshwari equalised for the home side but Shezi’s goal late in the second half saw Arrows leave North West with maximum points.

This loss further hands Orbit College the difficult task of moving away from the 15th spot of the Betway Premiership standings.

The result condemns Orbit College to the PSL Relegation Play-Offs position as Magesi FC looks set to finish on the bottom of the PSL standings.

For Arrows the results is a massive one for the Durban side as they push for a top eight finish.

Their coach Manqoba Mngqithi did all accede to the fact that the final push for the top eight place will be an exciting one.

This battle for a top eight spot is already getting interesting already as Stellenbosch FC are behind them with 31 points while Arrows have 34.

Arrows are on the seventh spot now while Stellies are ninth. Polokwane City are eighth after their goalless draw against Kaizer Chiefs.
