Key Spain national team player to miss last Euro 2024 group stage match

Spain's midfield maestro and Manchester City star, Rodri, will miss Luis de la Fuente's squad's final group stage match of Euro 2024 against Albania.

Rodri received a yellow card in yesterday's game against Italy (1-0), marking his second of the tournament. Consequently, he will be suspended for the match against Albania.

However, the match against Albania holds no significance for Spain in terms of standings. They have already accumulated six points, securing their place in the Round of 16 as group winners.

Throughout his career, Rodri has made 52 appearances for the Spanish national team, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists.

The match between Albania and Spain will take place on Monday, June 24. The Albanian team, with 1 point, still has a chance to advance to the knockout stages.
