In the UEFA Champions League match against Copenhagen, Manchester City's leader Kevin De Bruyne scored a goal.

According to Opta, the Belgian became the fourth player to score at least ten goals in the UEFA Champions League playoffs since the 2019-20 season. Only Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland (with 13 each), and Karim Benzema (17) have scored more than him.

Furthermore, De Bruyne has been involved in goal-scoring actions in six out of the last seven matches since his return to the football field after injury.
