Keletso Makgalwa’s selection to Bafana Bafana is purely for experimental purposes.

The Sekhukhune United midfielder is among the 23-man squad called by Bafana coach Hugo Broos for next week’s friendly international against Zambia.

Broos revealed the pressure of selecting novices for the national side when they play qualifiers for major tournaments is not the same when they play friendly games.

“You know when you play qualifiers you can’t stop to do experiments. It is too dangerous,” said Broos on Makgalwa as he announced his squad today at Safa House in Nasrec.

"So now it’s a friendly game, okay we want to win it, I don’t want to lose against Zambia, certainly no. But if we lose or if we give him a chance and he doesn’t perform like we expect him, what’s the problem. You can’t do that in a qualifier.”
