Kelechi Iheanacho Brace Sends Celtic F.C. Into Scottish Cup Final After 6–2 Thriller
Kelechi Iheanacho scored twice as Celtic F.C. powered into the Scottish Cup final with a dramatic 6–2 win over St. Mirren F.C. after extra time on Sunday.
Celtic looked in control early on, with Daizen Maeda scoring within seconds and Anthony Ralston adding a second before halftime. But St. Mirren fought back in the second half, as Mikaël Mandron netted twice to make it 2–2 and force extra time.
Iheanacho, introduced late in the game, made an instant impact. He restored Celtic’s lead in the 96th minute before grabbing his second soon after, as the Hoops scored four times in extra time to seal an emphatic victory.
The Nigerian striker now has six goals this season and played a key role in sending Celtic to their fourth straight Scottish Cup final.
