Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has praised Michael Carrick for his outstanding work as head coach, but refused to comment on whether the manager’s contract might be extended after the season ends.
Speaking publicly for the first time about Carrick’s performance, Ratcliffe told Sky Sports News: “He’s doing an excellent job, yes, absolutely.” However, when asked about a long-term deal, he kept it brief: “No, I’m not going to comment on that.”

To recap, the 44-year-old former Red Devils midfielder took charge following Ruben Amorim’s dismissal in January and has significantly improved results. Under Carrick, United have won six out of eight matches, earning more points in that span than any other Premier League side—including leaders Arsenal.
