Karun Nair and Jitesh Sharma on the verge of leaving Vidarbha

Two key middle-order mainstays have decided to part ways with the Nagpur-based team.
Details: According to Cricbuzz, Jitesh Sharma has decided to move to Baroda, while Karun Nair is planning a return to his home state of Karnataka.
Vidarbha’s domestic success last season was largely built on the solid performances of its batters, with Nair playing a pivotal role. He amassed 863 runs in the Ranji Trophy—fourth-best in the tournament—and also topped the scoring charts in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 779 runs.
Sources within the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) have confirmed that Nair’s return is highly likely. Meanwhile, the portal refrained from seeking comment from the player himself, as sources indicate he is on the cusp of an international cricket comeback—a final decision is expected within the next 24 hours.
As for Jitesh Sharma, his transfer to Baroda is expected to be finalized within a day or two, according to sources at the Baroda Cricket Association (BCA). Jitesh captained Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and played under Nair’s leadership in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, despite his efforts, he struggled to establish himself as a truly indispensable member of the squad.
