Karim Benzema has addressed the possibility of returning to the French national team

Forward Karim Benzema of Saudi club Al-Ittihad has stated that he does not rule out the possibility of participating in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris as part of the French team.

"Paris Olympics? Why not, of course, it could be wonderful," the forward's response was quoted by L'Equipe.

Benzema has not played for the French national team since 2022. On June 13, 2022, the star forward faced Croatia in the UEFA Nations League. In total, the 36-year-old forward has played 97 matches for Les Bleus, scoring 37 goals.

Benzema has been playing for Al-Ittihad since last summer, when he left Real Madrid. The experienced striker has scored 12 goals and provided 7 assists in 23 matches for the Saudi team in the current season.
