The match against Finland in the Nations League for England forward Harry Kane became memorable not only because of the double, which brought the ‘Three Lions’ victory, but also because for the striker this game was the 100th at the national team level. For the second hundred matches, the player thought about changing his role in the team.

So, being a born striker, Kane said that he feels he can play even in midfield:

‘I feel I can play as a number ten, even in midfield. It all depends on the manager I play with. Who knows, maybe later in my career the manager will want to utilise me deeper to use my passing to hurt teams. But right now I want to keep scoring the goals I need to play as a number nine,’ Kane is quoted as saying by Goal.

The 31-year-old forward made his debut for the national team less than a decade ago - on 27 March 2015, when Roy Hodgson was the England coach. Since then, he has scored 68 goals and given 19 assists in exactly one hundred matches for the national team.
