Kaizer Chiefs interested in signing Stellenbosch FC's Langelihle Phili

Langelihle Phili is a wanted man.

The Stellenbosch FC winger is being sought by Kaizer Chiefs.

Chiefs are keen on the player who scored seven goals last season for the Cape Winelands side and are willing to offer players and cash for the former AmaZulu man.

Amakhosi are said to be keen on using striker Ashley Du Preez as a bait for Phili given that Stellies are keen on Du Preez.

Interestingly, Chiefs signed Du Preez from Stellies, four seasons ago but the speedy striker is yet to find the form Amakhosi brought him to Naturena for.

HIs former club are keen on having him back in their ranks and with Chiefs interested in Phili, there are chances Du Preez would return to Stellenbosch FC.

Initially, Chiefs' pursuit of the player was rejected by the team coached by Gavin Hunt but their interest in Du Preez has seen them change their stance on Phili.
