Kaizer Chiefs discard George Matlou stars training with Stellenbosch FC with the hope of a new deal
Matlou is touted to fill the central midfield void in the Stellies midfield
George Matlou is on the verge of joining Stellenbosch FC after leaving Kaizer Chiefs.
Matlou is touted as a possible replacement for Mthetheleli Mthiyane and Ibraheem Jabaar who have left the Cape Winelands side in this off-season.
Mthiyane joined Orlando Pirates while Jabaar has gone to Tanzania to reunite with former coach Steve Barker.
Now Gavin Hunt has gone to seek Matlou's signature as the team struggled last season and had to deploy defender Olisah Ndah in the central midfield role.
Matlou, who joined Chiefs from the defunct Moroka Swallows, is an enterprising midfielder with an accurate pass in him.
He will fit in like in a glove in Stellies rigid football style.
