Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu enter race to sign Tshegofatso Mabasa as Orlando Pirates go mute on the player's status
Mabasa was on loan at Stellenbosch FC last season
Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu are expected to fight for Tshegofatso Mabasa's signature.
The striker's deal with Orlando Pirates has ended after the player spent half of the season on loan at Betway Premiership side Stellenbosch FC.
Mabasa's is technically a free agent and can sign with a team of his choice and now both Amakhosi and Usuthu have been seen as potential suitors for the ace striker.
It's not clear why Pirates could not re-sign the player given his impressive goal ration and already having scored a club record of 50 goals.
But it does seem like the club has reached a dead end on the player.
Chiefs and AmaZulu are interested in the player and Mabasa could turn out for either side next season.
