Kabelo Dlamini: My start to the season for Orlando Pirates in this campaign has not been the best
The Betway Premiership season is almost halfway but Orlando Pirates midfielder Kabelo Dlamini says he is yet to reach his best.
Dlamini has been a bit part player for the Sea Robbers in this campaign which has seen them topple Mamelodi Sundowns on top of the PSL standings.
That feat is something which teams have found to be hard to achieve but Pirates’ spirited displays see them on top of the Betway Premiership standings with 28 points while Sundowns have three points less.
Dlamini, though, is not pleased with his contribution to Abdeslam Ouaddou’s side so far.
“To be honest, I didn’t start well, it’s not yet the best season for me,” Dlamini told on Radio 2000.
“But I’m happy that the team is doing well and that makes me push in order to get a chance to continue where the guys have left off or where they’re going.
“We have one goal, which is to win the trophies. I just have to keep working and when my chance comes, I grab it with two hands.”
As the PSL season is in the Afcon recess, Dlamini will be hoping he regains his place in the Pirates team next year when the season resumes.
This break may be good for him to sharpen his boots.
