Juventus sporting director hints at "good news" in Araújo transfer talks

It's no secret that Juventus' current squad is far from perfect, as personnel issues have translated into poor on-field results. The club is well aware and actively working to address these concerns.

Details: Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli emphasized that reinforcing the defense is the club's top priority, with other positions to be addressed later.

At the same time, Giuntoli hinted that clarity on Barcelona defender Ronald Araújo's potential transfer could come as early as next week.

Quote: "Our current strategy is to strengthen the defense first and then explore adding versatility to other positions in the squad. Naturally, we understand that we are starting from scratch, with a young squad and a new coach, but we believe we can soon become more competitive by following an economically sensible path.

Araújo and Randal Kolo Muani are both great players, but the transfer window has just opened, and we hope to have good news, possibly as early as next week," Giuntoli told DAZN.

Reminder: Earlier, Spanish media reported that Barcelona has no intention of selling Araújo to Juventus.
