"He’s not for sale": Barcelona rejects Juventus' offer for Araújo
Ronald Araújo has long been a challenging figure for Barcelona, as the Uruguayan defender has shown reluctance to extend his contract, which has 18 months remaining. While selling him to avoid losing him for free might seem logical, Barcelona remains hesitant to take that step.
Details: According to Mundo Deportivo, Juventus recently made an offer for Araújo, but it was swiftly rejected. The player's agent had encouraged Barcelona to consider the proposal, but the club issued a clear response: "He’s not for sale."
However, two conditions could make a transfer possible. First, Araújo would need to request a move himself, and second, the offer would need to be around €70 million—a price Barcelona considers fair.
Reminder: Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently stated that Araújo and Frenkie de Jong must extend their contracts by the end of the season if they wish to remain at Camp Nou.
