Juventus refuses to back down! Turin giants prepare new bid to sign Manchester City defender

Details: Juventus remain seriously interested in 25-year-old Manchester City left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri. According to Italian sources and Bianconera News, the Bianconeri have not abandoned hopes of bolstering their defensive flank with the Algerian and plan to reopen talks when the January transfer window opens. At the end of last summer, the Turin club had already approached the Cityzens with a loan offer including an option to buy, but the English side rejected it.

The main factor working in favor of a potential deal is the player's lack of playing time. After joining from Wolverhampton in the summer of 2025 for £31 million, Aït-Nouri has failed to establish himself in new Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca's starting lineup, losing out in the competition to Nico O'Reilly and Joško Gvardiol. This season, the Algerian wing-back has played just 105 minutes in all competitions and views a change of scenery positively, while Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti is in urgent need of a specialist left-back.

It is worth noting that during the 2025/26 season, Aït-Nouri made 17 Premier League appearances for Manchester City, missing part of the campaign due to injuries and his involvement in the Africa Cup of Nations. The defender's current contract with the Cityzens runs until the summer of 2030, while Transfermarkt values him at €40 million.
