Juventus officially signs Chelsea's Renato Veiga on loan
Juventus continues to strengthen its squad, officially securing the loan of Chelsea's central defender Renato Veiga.
Details: The club announced on its official website that Veiga will join the Turin side for the remainder of the season. Juventus will pay €5 million for the Portuguese player, but the agreement does not include a purchase option. Veiga will return to Chelsea in the summer to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
Juventus recently lost to Napoli in Serie A and played to a draw against Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League. The team's results remain inconsistent, prompting discussions about a potential managerial change.
The "Bianconeri" management has reportedly contacted Spanish coach Xavi Hernández, who recently managed Barcelona.
Reminder: The Turin side had gone 10 months without a defeat in the domestic league. Their last loss occurred on March 30 in the 30th round of the previous season against Lazio.
