Juventus have reached an agreement to terminate the experienced goalkeeper's contract
Juventus has reached an agreement to terminate the contract of veteran Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the documents are being prepared and reviewed. If everything is in order, Szczęsny will leave Juventus, receiving a substantial severance package. The goalkeeper will then be available as a free agent.
Earlier reports suggested that the experienced Juventus goalkeeper was considering retirement after leaving the Bianconeri.
Szczęsny joined Juventus in the summer of 2017 from Arsenal. Since then, the Polish goalkeeper has made 252 appearances and kept 103 clean sheets for the Turin club.
The 34-year-old's current contract was set to expire in 2025. Last season, Wojciech played 35 matches across all competitions, keeping 15 clean sheets.
