The future of the renowned goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny remains uncertain.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus no longer counts on the experienced Polish keeper. He has not even reported to the club’s training base to begin preparations for the season.

Szczęsny was previously close to a transfer to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Nassr, but the deal ultimately fell through.

Szczęsny has just one year remaining on his contract with Juventus, but his salary is €6.5 million. To avoid paying this amount, the Turin club has offered him the option of terminating his contract, to which he has reportedly given his preliminary consent.

Moreover, Szczęsny is even considering retiring from professional football altogether.

It is worth noting that this summer, Juventus signed Michele Di Gregorio from Monza, who was named the best goalkeeper in Serie A last season.
