Juventus are preparing a turnaround in the case of their midfielder
Thiago Motta's list of players to be shown the door is gradually shrinking. Some have already been said goodbye to, and in relation to some the new Juventus manager has changed from anger to mercy.
Thus, midfielder Weston McKennie was on that list, but according to ESPN, the American had a conversation with his coach and the latter returned him to the squad. He is now training with the team.
Earlier, the 25-year-old midfielder along with Wojciech Szczęsny, who has already left Juventus and Federico Chiesa trained separately from the squad and was not part of the team.
Motta emphasised that they are ‘not part of the team’ and the players ‘must find a new solution and a new club as soon as possible’.
It was previously reported that McKennie was likely to leave the Serie A side as Fiorentina were interested in acquiring him. But after talks with Motta this week, McKennie has returned to the squad and could be in the matchday squad for Monday's match.
