Juventus has reached an agreement with their backup goalkeeper, Mattia Perin, for a new contract, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Details: The Italian goalkeeper’s new deal with the Turin club will be valid until the summer of 2027. The official announcement of the contract extension is expected soon. The current contract of the 31-year-old keeper was set to expire next summer.

Reminder: Perin was once regarded as one of Italy’s most promising goalkeepers. He has been with Juventus since 2018.

In the summer of 2018, the Bianconeri paid €16.30 million for the goalkeeper. Overall, Perin has made 50 appearances for Juventus, conceding 42 goals.

In the current campaign, Perin has played 3 matches (2 in Serie A and 1 in the Champions League).
