Liverpool and Brazil national team goalkeeper Alisson Becker sustained an injury during the 23rd round match of the English Premier League against Arsenal. Following his injury, he was replaced in goal by Caoimhin Kelleher, who has been demonstrating commendable performances between the posts.

Alisson is considered one of the world's best goalkeepers, and his absence could potentially impact Liverpool's title race.

Speaking about Alisson's potential return to the field, Liverpool's manager Jurgen Klopp dismissed hopes of his swift comeback. His words, as reported by GOAL, were:

"There is no specific timeline, but this is a genuine muscle injury. It's not a short-term injury. It's a rather serious injury, but it's not certain that he'll be out for the remainder of the season".

Kelleher can expect to continue featuring in Liverpool's starting lineup. Throughout his career, he has only appeared on the field ten times, and his partner's injury may provide him with an opportunity to prove himself at Liverpool or to showcase his talents to other clubs that may be interested in acquiring him.

Despite the Irish goalkeeper's successful performances, Jurgen Klopp will be hoping for his first-choice goalkeeper's return as soon as possible, as every match in the title race is crucial.
