Julián Álvarez matches an 18-year-old achievement in games against Barcelona

Barcelona hosts Atlético Madrid in the semifinal match of the Copa del Rey.

The match started with fireworks: by the 21st minute, the score was already 2–2. Atlético took a two-goal lead by the 6th minute, but quickly conceded twice in response.

Argentine forward Julián Álvarez scored a goal and provided an assist for Atlético.

Interestingly, Álvarez became the first player to score and assist at Barcelona’s stadium in the first half of a Copa del Rey match since Brazilian midfielder Artur did so for Alavés in 2007.

By the way, Antoine Griezmann scored against Barcelona for the first time since 2016.
