Atlético Madrid travelled to face Barcelona in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final, and one of the visitors’ players matched a rare feat.
Details: According to Squawka, forward Julián Álvarez became the first player since 2017 to score a direct free-kick against Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League. The last to do so was Ángel Di María, who achieved it in February 2017 during a match between Barcelona and PSG.
Reminder: Atlético defender David Gantzko suffered an injury in an innocuous situation and was substituted.
