Joseph Antoine Bell Blasts Samuel Eto’o Over FECAFOOT’s Growing Problems
The head of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT), Samuel Eto'o, has come under fire from Cameroonian football legend Joseph Antoine Bell, who has brought attention to the escalating tensions in the nation's football administration.
Speaking on the French radio show After Foot RMC, the former Indomitable Lions goalkeeper and captain did not hold back in his assessment of the current situation.
“FECAFOOT Has Problems Everywhere”
Bell outlined a long list of conflicts involving FECAFOOT, stating:
"You're asking me for a conclusion without arguments, but let's lay them out. FECAFOOT has problems with the Ministry of Sports, with the players' union, with referees, with clubs, with CAF, with ONIES... And I'm not making this up. If the same person has issues with everyone, maybe they should look at themselves. And in this case, the person is FECAFOOT itself."
For Bell, the message is clear: Eto’o and his administration must engage in self-criticism to ease the rising tensions in Cameroonian football.
More Controversy Surrounding FECAFOOT
The criticism comes amid a turbulent period for Cameroon’s football federation. During the international break, national team coach Marc Brys even threatened to resign, citing underhanded tactics being used against him.
