José Mourinho, the current head coach of Turkey's Fenerbahçe, is once again in the spotlight—this time from the Portuguese Football Federation. According to CNN Portugal, the Portuguese have already established contact with the renowned specialist, considering him for the position of national team coach.

The current coach of the Portuguese team, Roberto Martinez, despite a successful Nations League campaign and leading the team to the semifinals, is likely to leave the national team by summer. As a result, the Federation is seeking a replacement, and Mourinho has become one of the main candidates.

It is worth noting that the 62-year-old Mourinho had previously been offered the chance to lead the Portuguese national team but declined early in his coaching career. He recently also turned down an offer to lead the Brazilian national team.
