José Mourinho expressed his condolences on the death of Pope Francis
Fenerbahçe head coach José Mourinho could not ignore the news of the death of Pope Francis, which occurred today. The Portuguese coach posted a short tribute on his Instagram page.
Mourinho shared a black-and-white photo of Francis and wrote the following text.
“To be great, first you must know how to be small. Humility is the foundation of true greatness. Pope Francis ❤️ Hope is the light in the night. A great Pope,” wrote Mourinho.
It should be noted that Pope Francis passed away at the age of 88 due to severe health issues. He had been hospitalized since February 14, in critical condition. Initially admitted with bronchitis, the pontiff's condition worsened in the hospital. Doctors discovered a polymicrobial respiratory infection.
Despite this, it should be added that yesterday Pope Francis still addressed the faithful with a speech in honor of the Easter holiday.
Let us recall that he was born Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Francis became Pope in 2013, following the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI.
