Midfielder Jorginho was spotted at Rio de Janeiro's airport on Wednesday, reigniting speculation about a potential move to Flamengo. While the Arsenal player insists he’s in Brazil for vacation, his contract with the Gunners expires in June, and Flamengo remains keen on securing his signature.
The Brazilian club made an unsuccessful attempt to sign him in January, but negotiations are still on the table. Sporting director José Boto sounded optimistic, suggesting the decision now rests with the player. Flamengo aims to finalize the deal before their Club World Cup debut against ES Tunis on June 17, according to Metro.co.uk.
In a recent interview, Jorginho admitted he’s curious about the experience of playing in Brazil, the country of his birth, where he never played professionally. His future remains uncertain, but his presence in Rio has only fueled further speculation.
