The countdown to the world's biggest football festival is ticking ever closer.

Details: Today, it was announced that US President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino have revealed to the public that during the 2026 World Cup, a special “FIFA Pass” will be introduced. This pass is designed to help fans boost their chances of obtaining a US tourist visa for the tournament.

Main benefits for FIFA Pass holders:

  • People planning to attend World Cup matches in the USA will receive priority consideration for tourist visas.
  • The application process and verification remain unchanged, but waiting times will be shortened.
  • Possession of a match ticket does NOT guarantee entry to the USA, but it will grant a faster appointment.

Even with these new advantages, Trump and Infantino caution fans not to delay starting the visa process. Due to the anticipated surge in demand, many could miss out if they wait too long.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place across Canada, the United States, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19, 2026.

Reminder: Changes are coming! FIFA promises to extend players' minimum rest between matches
